Be patient, ladies and gents. We have yet to receive an official "Orange Is The New Black" Season 3 release date, but speculators say the new season premiere will not be until June 2015. "OITNB" plot spoilers have been scarce, but there has been a lot of casting changes leading up to the new season. First, we know that Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown, and Mike Birbiglia are joining the show. However, Larry actor Jason Biggs and George "Pornstache" Mendez actor Pablo Schrieber will not appear in Season 3.
Last month, we also postulated that Maritza Actress Diane Guerrero may leave "Orange Is The New Black" as well. Diane Guerrero will be moving to a new show on the CW titled "Jane The Virgin," which premieres Oct. 13. According to CW, Guerrero will play the role as the bestie of Jane, the protagonist in "Jane the Virgin." Given the significant role on the new show, it will be difficult for Guerrero to juggle both shows at the same time.
Now, VCPost recently confirmed Dianne Guerrero's exit. In addition, VCPost announced that Vee actress Lorraine Toussaint, Susan "Crazy Eyes" played by Lauren Lapkus, are set to leave the show as well. Remember Rosa ran over Vee with a big van at the end of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 2. Many theories speculated whether Vee would have survived the hit, but Lorraine Tousssaint's departure is irrefutable evidence that Vee is dead.
With the departure of several characters, six characters will reportedly get promoted to become series regulars. The six include Gloria Mendoza, Joe Caputo, Lorna Morello, Black Cindy, Poussey, and Alex Vause. Last but not least, Daya's pregnancy and the introduction of Pornstache's mother will certainly throw her into the spotlight as well.
"Orange Is The New Black" is slated to return for 2015. Stay tuned as we learn the official release date in the months ahead.
