‘One Piece’ Episode 888: Something Shocks Sabo; Pirate’s Identity To Be Revealed?

Fans will finally be seeing some action in the new Reverie arc in “One Piece” Episode 888. Sabo will finally make his move and infiltrate the Land of the Gods to save Kuma. Meanwhile, fans are still perplexed and hopeful that the identity of the person that Shanks was referring to in Episode 887 will be revealed next.

The 888th episode of “One Piece” is appropriately titled “Sabo Enraged! The Tragedy Of The Revolutionary Army Officer Kuma!” Based on the brief preview for the upcoming episode, Sabo and his team will successfully sneak into the Land of the Gods.

However, when he finally sees Kuma, something about the latter’s situation will shock him. In fact, what happened to his former warlord will enrage Sabo to no end.

“Sabo and the Revolutionary Army start their mission to sneak into Mariejois,” the narrator for the preview of “One Piece” Episode 888 said. “After overcoming various obstacles, Sabo finally reaches the Land of the Gods where the Celestial Dragons live. But there, he is shocked at the appearance of the Revolutionary Army’s warrior Bartholomew Kuma!”

Toward the end of the last episode, the five elders, the highest authorities of the World Government, were seen waiting for someone inside the Pangaea Castle. A mysterious-hooded figure arrived, which was later revealed to be Shanks.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Shanks cut to the chase. “I want to talk to you about a certain pirate…” he told the five elders right before the episode ended.

Now fans are busy speculating just who this certain pirate might be. Some believe that Shanks may be referring to Blackbeard as he is their common enemy.

However, others are not so convinced with that theory since the World Government already knows how dangerous Blackbeard is. Thus, the five elders do not need Shanks reminding them of it. It also wasn’t necessary for Shanks to meet the elders in the Pangaea Castle to talk about Blackbeard.

Others say that Luffy might be the person referred to by Shanks. The rapid rise in power of the Straw Hat Pirates might warrant authority figures to keep an eye on him.

Meanwhile, there are also those who believe that Shanks did not meet the elders just to discuss Blackbeard or Luffy. Fans theorized that it may be about Edward Weevil, saying that he might be what Oda referred to when he previously announced about introducing a “lurking legend.”
