After coyly teasing the return of a certain character in the coming season of "Once Upon a Time," we can now confirm that Meghan Ory will return as Ruby/Red Riding Hood.
Co-creator and executive producer Edward Kitsis told TVLine during the websites Fall Preview Q&A, "Well, I hope there’s a full moon this year…. You never know who might come out during a full moon. Or come back, I should say!" Then shortly after that the website reported Ory would reprise her role as Ruby for multiple episodes during the ABC fairytale drama's first half of the season.
Meanwhile, thanks to co-creator Adam Horowitz we know titles for six episodes in season five including the premiere, which is called "The Dark Swan" and is written by co-creators Kitsis and Horowitz and is directed by Ron Underwood. The second episode is titled "The Prince" and is written by Andrew Chambliss and Dana Horgan and the third is called "Seige Perilous." It is directed by Ralph Hemecker and written by Jane Espenson.
The fourth will be called "Broken Kingdom" which is written by David H. Goodman and Jerome Schwartz with the fifth titled "Dreamcatcher" and is written by the co-creators. Lastly, the sixth episode will be dubbed "The Bear and the Bow" and is written by Chambliss and Tze Chun. The name of the title is a pretty big indicator that we'll be meeting "Brave's" princess Merida in the sixth episode.
"Once Upon a Time" Season 5 will premiere Sunday Sept. 27 on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET.
