"Once Upon A Time's" midseason finale left fans with so many unanswered questions such as what does Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and the Queens of Darkness have planned for our heroes, will the dark one get his magic back and make it back to Storybrooke and much more? Aside from all the magical drama we seen some heartache too. We witnessed Regina (Lana Parrilla) loose her soul mate all for the greater good but it left us wondering if the Evil Queen will ever find love?
If you don't recall in episode 12 "Heroes and Villains" Regina had seemingly saved Marian (Christie Laing) from Ingrid (Elizabeth Mitchell), the Snow Queen's, curse however it was not fully broken. Regina tells Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) that he needs to go with his wife and son into the real world to save her, because there will be no magic outside of Storybrooke to power the Freezing Curse. He ultimately decides to leave and is heartbroken at knowing he can't ever see Regina again.
With Robin Hood now gone and Regina still searching for her happy ending it got us wondering who will fill that role as her love interest in the second half of "OUAT?" Check out these potential characters that can give Regina her happy ending.
The Sorcerer - The Sorcerer's identity still unknown and Regina is on the hunt for him as he may be the author to her happy ending. But it is highly plausible that he may also be the one to give her the love she desires. We previously listed a few characters that could possibly be the Sorcerer supreme check out some of the powerful wizards below that could become Regina's new lover.
- Merlin "The Sword in the Stone" - Merlin is a powerful wizard master from Disney's "Sword in the Stone" film. Merlin does not appear on the show. However, it is established in season 3, that he lives in Fairytale Land where he enchanted the sword Excalibur and hid it in Camelot. If anyone can wield power such as the hat it is him!
- Hades "Hercules" - The Greek god of the underworld and main antagonist from Disney's "Hercules" movie. This guy definitely has the goods to wield an all powerful hat.
- Jafar "Aladdin" - This would be an interesting plot twist and bring back Naveen Andrews who portrayed the dark sorcerer in "OUAT in Wonderland." Though he was punished and forced to serve eternity as a genie in a bottle he may have found a way out and is now a supreme sorcerer. It's a stretch but this show has a way of making the impossible possible.
- Yen Sid "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" - Though an obscure character Yen Sid is Mickey's teacher and a powerful sorcerer. He definitely has the power and ability to create a magical fairytale book.
- Aslan "Chronicles of Narnia" - Yes this is a long shot and wouldn't really make sense story wise but hey that's why it's a theory and not a fact. We've always wanted to see characters from the 'Narnia' franchise introduced in OUAT and maybe this is how Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will do it.
- Zeus "Hercules" - King of the Olympian Gods! Again, why not? He's powerful, legendary and all knowing. He could easily write a book based on our Storybrooke/Enchanted characters.
Will Scarlet - The Knave of Hearts from "Once Upon a Time In Wonderland" made his way to Storybrooke and reunited with his old pal Robin Hood. While Scarlet had a small part in part one of season four he may have a bigger role to play in the second half. Our running theory is that Will Scarlet will comfort Regina in Robin Hood's absence and grow closer to the Evil Queen.
Poseidon - We know Ernie Hudson will be joining the second half of the season as King of the Sea, Poseidon. While we know that his portion will deal primarily with Ursula and her dark business but there is also the possibility that he and Regina can find a way to hook it up and get close.
Robin Hood - There is still a possibility that Robin Hood can return to Storybrooke and reunite with his beloved Regina. We are certain Rumplestiltskin and the Queens of Darkness are working to get back into the town to restore their magic and if they can find a way in then so can Robin Hood.
Regina - Maybe it's time for the Evil Queen to live for herself. She has been desperately trying to live on the straight path but it seems like she is still in search for a love of her own to find happiness and maybe all she needs is to love herself and love will come.
