Singer Olga Tañón faces again the pain that causes the loss of a loved one. Tañón revealed the loss of her mother, Carmen Gloria Ortiz Tañón, through Instagram along with a message in which she thanked her for her strength, love, smile, and passion.
"Pretty, good and beautiful mommy! Fly high with Papi! Your strength, your love, your smile, your passion for everything. Beloved Mother, God has you in His glory! Glory, Mary, Junior and I are heartbroken. But it has been the will of God! Until forever, beautiful mommy! We love you with the depths of our soul!" wrote the "Así es el amor" interpreter.
The singer also lost her father José Esteban in 2015. Esteban passed away at the age of 94 due to natural causes. During the tough time, the 49-year-old merengue powerhouse expressed her feelings in a heartfelt message on social media, where she broke the sad news to her beloved fans. "Today our hero has left. His legacy, a wonderful one! We are more than thankful with life for have giving us this extraordinary man as a father. We're left with his immense love, his knowledge and many beautiful life lessons," she wrote on Instagram. "Dad, you're already with God, rest and wait for us!" she added.
Fans of the two Grammy Award, three Latin Grammy Award, and 29 Premio Lo Nuestro Award winner, showered her with sympathy messages.
Tañón, now known as the "Woman of Fire" or "Mujer de Fuego" by her fans, lives in state of Florida and it hasn't been confirmed where the funeral services will be held.
