An Ohio woman dug up more than dirt while digging holes for a fence in her backyard.

Katie Santry moved into her house in Columbus about a year ago. While she was digging around her backyard, she came across a carpet, which she thought was "weird" but let it go. It wasn't until her desk was botched and her laptop shattered that she thought to make a TikTok about her finding.

"I jokingly said, 'did the body in the rug do it?' and I put that on TikTok, and now everyone at this point has seen it," Santry told 10TV.

KGW reported TikTok viewers encouraged Santry to call the police to investigate. They initially "thought nothing of it" until Santry's video went viral. Then they said they would return with K-9s.

Up to 100K viewers watched as law enforcement dug up Santry's backyard. Viewers also watched as one of the K-9 dogs sniffed then sat in the spot where the rug was found.

"The world saw the dogs sit on the hole and it kind of ended there," Santry said.

Police found no remains, according to KGW.

Meanwhile, Santry is enjoying her newfound social media fame.

"The day I posted it I had 6,000 followers. It happened like the snap of a finger," Santry said. "I didn't anticipate virality in the slightest."
