"Ocotomom" Nadya Suleman is under investigation for possible welfare fraud.

According to reports by TMZ, the L.A. County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation is investigating whether the mother of 14 may have committed welfare fraud.

TMZ is reporting that a complaint was filed against Nadya Suleman for supposedly collecting welfare benefits including food stamps. However, Suleman made a reported $200,000 last year, due to publicity appearances and a pornographic video, "Octomom: Home Alone."

E! News also reported that under California law, she is only entitled to government assistance if she makes less than $119,000. An anonymous source also confirmed to E! that "the authorities have been in contact with us concerning her income and we have been cooperating."

If convicted of welfare fraud, Suleman could face jail time for up to three years.
