NY1 Noticias, New York City's local TV channel in Spanish, is celebrating its first decade delivering news to the city's large Spanish-speaking community.
"When Noticias launched 10 years ago many predicted it wouldn't last," said NY1 news director Dan Jacobson. "But its success has demonstrated the importance of local news to the Hispanic community, not just local news but local news delivered from a Hispanic perspective."
The station will launch a series of shows looking back at the last ten years' big stories. Beginning Monday, the station will have a sign reading "10 años" next to the temperature and time bug.
