Numerous reports have come out that Apple's planned September 10 media event will showcase the company's new iPhone devices, the 5S and 5C or low-cost iPhone. The reports also state that Apple will be unveiling two new iPad models at the media event as well, the IPad mini 2 and fifth-generation iPad. Bloomberg briefly mentioned that Apple will be introducing the new iPads this September.
"The Cupertino, California-based company plans to introduce new versions of its phone and tablet at a Sept. 10 event, a person familiar with the matter has said, and the company promised "several more game changers" in the product pipeline as it tries to fend off Samsung Electronics Co. and Chinese makers selling cheaper handsets."
It was reported that the casual nature in which Bloomberg mentions the new iPads are expected at the event indicated that it is just possibly an error. Following that report Bloomberg updated their article in which they reported that both iPhones and iPads would appear at the September 10 event, to remove that both tablets be shown at the event. The Loops Jim Dalrymple has confirmed that there will be no iPads introduced at Apple's media event.
AllThingsD reported earlier this month that Apple would have an iPhone media event September 10 and all but confirmed over the following few days by a number of other sources, but the event had been thought to be focused solely on the iPhone and iOS 7.
With the latest rumors it appears that Apple will be only be focusing on the new iPhone 5S and 5C devices.
