Former US President Donald Trump said that he couldn't get enough supplies to print his book, "Our Journey Together," due to the ongoing supply-chain disruptions in the US.
During a Wednesday episode of the podcast, "The Great America Show," Trump responded to a question from host Lou Dobbs about how he felt about product shortages in the US. He said that he had problems while printing his book because of issues with the supply chain. Trump added that the supply chain was automatic and embedded. He claimed that it was embedded in "a free country, in a democracy."
He said, "We didn't sit around talking about the supply chain." He feels that now during Joe Biden administration, all of a sudden, it's the "two words people are using most because you can't get anything."
Talking about "Our Journey Together," Trump said that it is very successful, and it "sold 240,000 copies, and we just ordered another 240,000, I guess, or more." He shared that the publisher has about eight plants, but he was told that they couldn't get paper, ink, glue or leather for the covers. Winning Team Publishing, which is Trump's publisher for his book, is a company that was co-founded by his son Donald Trump Jr. last year, according to Business Insider.
Meanwhile, Trump held a rally Saturday in Conroe, Texas, where Trump Jr. said that he took his son Donald Trump III to a gun manufacturer. Trump Jr. said during his speech at the rally that he loves Texas, and during his visit to the state, he got to do "the most Texas thing ever." He shared that he was able to bring his 12-year-old son to his friend Dion's manufacturing facility at F-1 Firearms. He added, "Donny, little kid from New York City, now Florida, thank God, got to make his own AR-15."
According to F-1 Firearms' Facebook account, F-1 Firearms is a semi-automatic weapon systems manufacturer based in Spring, Texas.
At the rally, Trump Jr. also slammed Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg for taking paternity leave, reported Business Insider. He said that if you're a male kindergarten teacher and you take paternity leave, "that's wonderful." But according to him, if you're the secretary of transportation, "you get your a** to work. It's not that hard of a concept." He felt that when millions of "people depend on you, you show up."
