Nissan Vision GT Arrives July: Nissan Concept 2020 For Gran Turismo 6 Hints Future Hybrid GT-R

The new Nissan Concept 2020 Vision GT offers the very first teaser of what sort of supercar Nissan is capable of creating if its designers were given free rein. According to Gran Turismo, the Nissan Vision GT concept

The Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo was created by the young designers of Nissan Design Europe. Shortly after the project had begun, the advanced engineering team of the Nissan Technical Centre in Atsugi, Japan, recognized the potential of the concept and also got involved in the project. As a result, the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision GT concept is Nissan's interpretation of how the future GT-R supercar may look.

Based on the released images of the new Nissan Vision GT, iconic 'R35' Nissan GT-R design cues are retained and exaggerated for the concept. The front fascia now features enormous cuts and blades that work to channel air that allow the engine to breath and cool. Familiar piercing headlights rest over the the air intakes. Square and boxy elements define the iconic GT-R profile. Finally, the wraparound windshield effect on the '35' GT-R are brought over to the new Nissan 2020 Vision GT concept as well.

Details on the new Nissan Vision GT is limited but rumors suggest that the concept car will boast a high-performance hybrid powertrain that will be packaged in a wild mid-engine layout.
