Despite a sensational performance at the Circuit de la Sarthe when it competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Nissan DeltaWing suffered a heavy impact against a wall, prematurely ending its race.
Now, the DeltaWing is back with a vengeance as it now prepares for the Road Atlanta Petit Le Mans competition in October 20.

One of the most bizarre entrants on the grid, the Nissan DeltaWing boasts the lightest curb weight on the track. Small tire sizes for lower sprung mass, a superior aerodynamic shape, and a modest and fuel efficient 300-hp 1.6 liter DIG-T turbocharged Nissan engine combine to give the Deltawing the performance that it needs in a neatly packaged sharp Indian arrowhead overhead profile.
Strictly from appearances, steering the Deltawing looks like a pretty sketchy affair yet footage proves just how stable the chassis is under a variety of challenging conditions.
