When everyone thought Nilda Rosario was retiring, Telemundo 47 New York / WNJU announces today that Rosario has been named Anchor for "Noticiero 47 Fin De Semana" on weekends at 5:30 PM and 11 PM. She will join Co-Anchor Yaima Crespo, Weather Anchor Janice Bencosme and a dynamic team of reporters to deliver local breaking news and the latest information about issues affecting Spanish-language viewers in the New York Tri-State area. Additionally, Rosario will work as a General Assignment Reporter to support Noticiero 47 Telemundo on weekdays at 5:30 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM.Cristina Schwarz, President and General Manager, Telemundo 47 said, "Nilda is an exceptional journalist who has amassed more than 17 years of experience reporting for New York Tri-State area communities and we are ecstatic that she is a part of the Telemundo 47 team."

Rosario joins Telemundo 47 from Univision 41 / WXTV, where she worked from 2003 to 2015 in different roles of increasing responsibility. While at WXTV, she worked as a weekday weather anchor, weekend weather anchor and morning show traffic reporter. She began her journalism career at Univision Radio WADO 1280 AM in 1996 and worked as a copywriter production assistant, editor, news announcer and traffic reporter.She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
