"Nikita" is back and with a vengeance, find out what Maggie Q says is in store for her character in Season 4! CW

Season 4 of “Nikita” premieres Friday, but don't blink because you might miss it! Season 4 will be the final season of “Nikita,” and it will also be seriously shortened, the CW granted the series a 6-episode final season, which will give the dramatic show an opportunity to tie up loose ends and provide dedicated fans with a real ending. Despite an exciting plot, and talented cast, “Nikita” suffered from low ratings, mainly from being sporadically placed in CW’s schedule. Although, Maggie Q who stars as the series title character, Nikita, revealed that Season 4 and the finale will be a satisfying end for fans.

The cast and crew of the spy saga wanted to tie up loose ends without making it a concrete end for the main characters. “What we wanted to do at the end of the season was give people a glimpse of what could be for these characters, so that fans can also use their own imaginations to go, ‘Well, I think that even though Birkhoff ended up here, he may ultimately end up here.’” Maggie Q also explained that despite the shows ending drawing near, not everything will be a happy and predictable ending, “we don’t completely wrap it up — Nikita’s not holding her first-born in the last shot of the show.”

Not only will fans enjoy the ending of the action packed drama, but also Maggie Q admitted she was happy with the end for her iconic character. “What I liked about how we ended it is that Nikita does not change. It’s not like you see her as a different person who wants to settle down and be happy… You’ll see. It slows down for her, but she’s Nikita! So, the end is a little bit playful as well, which is cool.” So with Nikita still on a mission, and not on track to slow down anytime soon it seems like Season 4 will still be a wild ride.

The series returns Friday at 8pm to the CW with “Wanted.” And despite the time jump between the Season 3 finale and the Season 4 premiere, Nikita is still on the run after being framed for the assassination of the President of the United States. But when a young journalist from the news channel ENN starts to investigate the case with new and vital questions, Nikita wants to help. According to the “Wanted” episode synopsis, “Nikita sees this as an opportunity to clear her name so she re-enters the country to talk to Dale but walks right into a trap set by Amanda.” Uh oh! It sounds like Season 4 is going to hit the dramatic ground running! Will you be watching the Season 4 of “Nikita?” Comment below and let us know!
