After receiving reports of possible movements in the country against the Venezuelan leader, Nicolás Maduro, the National Director of Investigations, Sigfrido Pared Pérez, confirmed to the local press in the Dominican Republic that there was no evidence that in the nation existed any kind of conspiracy against Maduro.
Pared Pérez, confirmed that opponents of President Maduro would have met, but no conditions have been created in order to destabilize the Venezuelan government.
"It is not the first time that Venezuelan authorities alert us, they make us aware of such actions," says Pared Pérez. "We have investigated, and so far we have found nothing that could compromise any political situation."
Following the comments of the former vice president of Venezuela, José Vicente Rangel, the DNI, by its acronym in Spanish, will carry out a deeper investigation.
Given the crisis that is going through Venezuela, opponents carry out anti-government demonstrations, after the Supreme Court magistrates issued a ruling in which they gave absolute power to the president Nicolás Maduro, annuling any function from the National Assembly, opposition-controlled congress.
The last week of March, the opposition asked to spread to the world of what is really happening in Venezuela. "Please help us spread what is happening here. This is clearly a coup," Venezuela's President of the National Assembly Julio Borges, said.
He also addressed the Nation in front of the National Assembly: "These gentlemen believe they can go over the Venezuelan people. The whole world is asking for democracy in Venezuela, not just the 24 nations of America," said Borges while calling garbage and breaking into pieces the sentence of Supreme Justice Court.
