Nicky Jam is slowly but surely making his way into the English-language market and leaving his footprint. The Puerto Rican urban artist first made his crossover move in the fall of 2015 when he dropped the English version of "El Perdon" featuring Enrique Iglesias. "Forgiveness," which counts with its own music video filmed by renowned Dominican director Jessy Terrero in New York, has been making the rounds internationally, blasting on many radio and digital platforms. Following the single, Jam did a remix of OMI's popular summer anthem "Cheerleader," which also became an instant success. Now, Nicky will drop the English-language version of his latest hit single: "Hasta El Amanecer."
The 35-year-old urban artist shared the big news on Instagram when he dropped a snippet of the song. The small clip, which garnered over 37,000 likes, was in celebration of Nicky Jam reaching 10 million followers on Instagram. "We keep growing, thank you my people, I love you," the artist expressed. In honor of his huge milestone on social media, Jam decided to tease fans with his upcoming tune.
Evidently, it was a preview of "With You Tonight," the English-language version of "Hasta El Amanecer." The original Spanish version had been No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Song chart for seven consecutive weeks, according to Billboard. Although the song does not have an official release date, Jam wants his fans to be ready for the upcoming smash hit.
Recently the Latin Grammy winner received the award for Latin Song of the Year for "El Perdon" at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards. He's also kept busy in the recording studios, where he might be preparing something awesome with Cuban duo Gente de Zona and Puerto Rican colleague Farruko. If that's not enough workload, Jam is also part of Reik's upcoming studio album "Des/Amor." The Mexican pop-rock group revealed that they recorded a remix with Nicky in Colombia for their single "Ya Me Enteré." According to frontman Jesus Navarro, the song is awesome!
