Musicians can play the song in their own distinctive style as they strive for top prize: the opportunity to perform with the musical superstar a duet that will premiere on YouTube.
For Nicky Jam’s turn, the chosen song was “El Amante,” and fans all over the world sent in their renditions. The Puerto Rican reggaeton star had a lot of covers to choose from, from punk to a Mexican regional version, with some ballad renditions in-between and others that stuck to the original arrangement. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the selections that Nicky Jam will have to go over carefully, to select the big winner that will perform with him.
The viewers will witness each part of the planning and the process behind the cameras, and will see how this unique special music event is put together.
