Nick Gordon Dies On New Year's - Four Years After Bobbi Kristina Found Dead With Drugs

Deceased reality star Bobbi Kristina Brown’s ex-partner Nick Gordon has met with a similar fate as her. Four years ago, Brown’s sudden demise came as a blow to industry insiders, and more so because superstar Whitney Houston's daughter's death was attributed to a drug overdose. And now, Gordon’s autopsy reveals that the 30-year-old is likely to have died of the same.

While Gordon’s family is shaken by this devastating news; what’s even disappointing is that his friends who were allegedly doing drugs with Gordon dumped him at the hospital and drove away after he was rushed into intensive care in Florida amid New Year’s revelry. Condolences came pouring from family and friends, after the chronic drug abuser was pronounced dead on January 1 by doctors.

“God why did I have to lose my brother on New Year,’ his brother Junior Walker said on a Facebook post. It was also indicated that Walker was by his ailing brother’s side during his final moments in the hospital. “I love you so much big brother I hope you heard me talking to you at your bedside you are with me and I can feel it I love you I love you I love you watch over me and your nieces,” he wrote.

Walker shared a heartwarming family snap of the two siblings as little boys, and captioned it as, “All I can do is cry”.

The “over-controlling” Gordon has had a history of strained relationships. His former girlfriend Laura Leal alleged that Gordon held her captive at his mother’s former home in Sanford and brutally beat her up after a night of heavy drinking. She later dropped charges of domestic abuse against him and termed herself equally responsible for the mess they were embroiled in.

On the other hand, Brown’s estate accused Gordon of stealing money from Brown’s bank account while the reality star was in comatose. Brown lay in a coma for six months with her chest covered with bruises and failed to recover eventually leading to her death in July 2015.

Despite being held responsible for her wrongful demise, Gordon insisted that he tried everything in his power to protect the 22-year-old from death when he found her unconscious at their Alpharetta, Georgia home.

But, things went downhill for Gordon when neither he nor his lawyer, showed up at hearings in 2016. A Fulton County Superior Court judge then ruled against him by default and ordered him to pay $36 million in damages.

Gordon’s relationship with Brown has been questionable, as the man had gone on record to call Brown his “Lil sis” before their equation turned romantic.
