Niall Horan Clears The Air About His Relationship With Selena Gomez

Precisely a year ago, rumor mills were abuzz with speculations that Niall Horan and Selena Gomez were an item.

What fuelled these rumors was a report that the “OK!” magazine ran back then, suggesting how Gomez was reportedly getting food over to his place after a group night out. The piece gave off a vibe that things were getting pretty intense, albeit it was under the wraps.

Gomez, back then, was also reeling under the weight of a break-up from ex Justin Bieber, who tied the knot with Hailey Baldwin shortly after their split. This was perhaps one of the reasons as to why tabloids assumed that Gomez was planning on seeing new people. And as fate would have it, her paths crossed with the “One Direction” singer.

But, as rumor mills continue to rustle up ridiculous narratives, Horan decided to step in and clear the air on "Sirius XM," on which he emphasized that he's really single. He might have called her an absolute sweetheart and a really good friend. But, it ends there. Well, fans did hope for some progress on the front. But, it’s now certain that Gomez and Horan share a platonic relationship that doesn’t leave much for tongues to wag.

Gomez, on the other hand, seems to be focussed on work and her recently launched beauty label, “Rare Beauty”. She has time and again reiterated that her love life is on god's timing, in a bid to put speculations at rest. Lastly, “OK!” hasn’t been too consistent with its reportage as far as their gossipy pieces go. As per a report on Gossip Cop, the media outlet alleged that Brad Pitt was “playing the field” and exploring his compatibility with different women.

This turned out to be a lop-sided story with no follow-ups. Pitt, as far as the world knows, is giving it his all to become a great dad to his kids while he juggles work on the side. The tabloid also concocted a tale hinting at how Bieber was being flaky toward Baldwin. This turned out to be a bogus story, as the young couple can’t be happier -- their regular Instagram updates are proof.

While there’s always a possibility of seeing Gomez and Horan collaborate for work in the future, expecting anything beyond is plainly absurd. So, no, they are not dating.
