is a very beautiful girl and there's no denying it - the Latina beauty recently won the title of Miss USA. However, the 24 year old model surprised her audience today when she was asked what was the capital of Nevada, the state she represented at the event, and could not answer. According to TMZ, Sanchez represented Nevada but lived most of her life in California, even the represented the state three times in the Miss Universe competition.
After just one week of becoming Miss USA, Nia Sanchez is involved in controversy. A source close to Sanchez has revealed that the newly crowned queen, who represented Nevada in the important beauty contest, faked her residence in that state in order to avoid a tougher competition in her home state of California. "She never really moved to Nevada, but continued to work at Disney and live in California, but pretended to live in Nevada to be allowed to compete there," the source told Fox News.
In fact, Sanchez competed three times for the crown of Miss California USA-in 2010, 2011 and 2012 - and never won before entering the contest in Nevada, where she triumphed in January. However, she says it was a legitimate change to meet the requirement of six months' residence for competition. "[Las Vegas] is my home," Sanchez told FOX. "I have a house there with a friend." Given the video below, it doesn't seem like Sanchez knows much about her 'home' at all!
