The Denver Broncos will be getting Trevor Siemian back for their Thursday Night showdown against the San Diego Chargers.
Siemian missed last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons because of a shoulder injury. The Broncos would go on to lose that game, 23-16. That remains the only loss for Gary Kubiak’s squad thus far this season.
Backup quarterback Paxton Lynch, who was drafted in the first round, started last week in place of Siemian. Lynch didn’t play awful considering it was his first career start, but he didn’t exactly impress Broncos fans either.
Siemian has thrown six touchdowns and three interceptions this season while posting a 99.6 passer rating. The Broncos have yet to lose a single game with Siemian starting at the helm, which isn’t too stunning considering they still have an elite defense led by Von Miller. Interestingly, Siemian’s passer rating has increased every single game that he has started this season.
Considering the Chargers are among the worst teams in the league, and the Oakland raiders are 4-1, this a “must win” game for the Broncos in the AFC West.
