The National Football League grows in popularity on a yearly basis. Due to the fact that fans around the globe find various athletes, teams and cities extremely captivating, the NFL and the game of football remain near the top of the professional sports world. Positive figures including Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees are just a handful of the most likeable players around the league and while they certainly standout in a positive manner, others are viewed in a more negative light. Recently releasing their list of the Most-Disliked Players in the National Football League, Forbes - in accordance with E-Poll Market Research survey statistics - has certainly given NFL fans something to discuss since some of the most recognizable players in the game are on the list that no player wants to be on.
Surveying 1,100 people, E-Poll Market Research gathered enough information to come up with a list that will undoubtedly capture the attention of fans and players intimately involved with professional football. Topping the list in 2013 even though he's been a model figure both on and off the field since joining the Philadephia Eagles in 2009, quarterback Michael Vick earned a dislike percentage of 53%, higher than any other player on the list. Vick was heavily involved in a dog fighting ring back in 2007, ultimately leading to his arrest and suspension from the NFL. Though he has stayed out of trouble since his release from prison in 2009, many fans still view the former Virginia Tech standout as an unlikeable figure. Current San Diego Chargers linebacker and former University of Notre Dame star Manti Te'o comes in at No. 2, earning a dislike percentage of 48. Mainly due to the fact that Te'o was involved in a fake girlfriend scandal that captured the attention of the football world last year, the 2013 Second Round pick remains fresh on the minds of many fans around the league.
