The Boston Celtics are one win away from sending their series with the New York Knicks to a decisive Game 7.

While game 7's in sports happen all the time, this potential series finale would be impressive considering the fact that Boston lost the first 3 games of the series, never looking like they had a chance to compete with New York.

Game 6 will tip Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm, EDT from the TD Garden in Boston. Coverage will be available on the ESPN television network. Local networks MSG and CSN-NE will broadcast the game across the New York and Boston areas respectively.

Down 3-0 to the Knicks and staring elimination right in the face, the Celtics won a classic overtime tilt in Game 4 and followed it up with a somewhat convincing 92-86 victory in Game 5. The 6-point margin was not indicative of how much better the Celtics were on both ends of the floor than the Knicks were.

Aiming to become the first NBA team to win a series after falling behind 0-3, veteran guard Jason Terry knows anything can happen as long as the C's take care of business in Game 6.

"We just know every game for us is a Game 7," Terry told NBA.com reporters. "You got guys like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce who've been in a lot of playoff series, and everyone takes a life of its own. Nobody in here is going to quit."

The Knicks came out firing on all cylinders during the first 3 contests but have struggled mightily on the offensive end during the last two games.

Leading scorer Carmelo Anthony never got into a rhythm in Game 5, shooting 8-of-24 from the floor. Obviously needing their top player to perform along with the supporting cast of J.R. Smith, Ray Felton and Tyson Chandler, Knicks head coach Mike Woodson still knows his team is fully capable of closing out the series in Beantown.

"The mood of the team is that 'Hey, there's a sense of urgency,'" Woodson said. "We control our own destiny. We have won in Boston, so we've got to see what we're made of now."

Game 6 Friday night in Boston surely won't be easy as they Knicks will face a confident Celtics squad and the always-raucous TD Garden fan base.

Be sure to tune in Friday, May 3rd as the Boston Celtics try to force a Game 7 with a win over the New York Knicks.

Tip time is set for 7:00pm, EDT with coverage available on ESPN television as well as local networks across the New York and Boston areas.
