A fugitive wanted for a double homicide in New York was captured at a Florida McDonald's parking lot and grinned as officers took him into custody.
Since February 3, authorities have been on the hunt for Scott Mitchell, 50, who is accused of murdering two people in Binghamton, New York.
"Double murder suspect Scott Mitchell is in custody in Daytona Beach. The person who called in the tip just earned $10,000," police announced on Facebook Wednesday.
Mitchell's capture cracked people up online, with many mocking his smug demeanor.

"Love the look on the cop's face, cat got the cream for sure, well done," another commented.
While authorities have not disclosed further details on Mitchell's arrest, officials had previously warned the public not to approach him as he was considered armed and dangerous.

"Scott Mitchell, if you see this, you need to come back to New York. You need to pay for what you've done to my brother and his friend. You need to give our family some closure because we don't sleep at night knowing you're out there," Lisa Callahan, the sister of victim Marshall VanOven, previously told local news.
