A BBC Wales guest recently amassed mammoth attention from viewers for reasons least expected -- the presence of an adult toy in her living room that prominently stood out during a live news interview.
The guest, Yvette Amos went live on the Welsh news program to drop incisive views about being unemployed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as per a report on the World of Buzz. While the topic was of significance, it was the dildo that shone on the books shelf that garnered more views -- literally. While the guest is entitled to her views and beliefs, users found it rather amusing to spot the popular self-pleasuring toy occupying a significant spot on the live show.
Unsurprisingly, the sight birthed scores of unrelenting memes on the world wide web. What’s more, the sex toy also made it to a tongue-in-cheek tweet by Journalist Grant Tucker.
“Perhaps the greatest guest background on the BBC Wales news tonight. Always check your shelves before going on air,” wrote Tucker.
On the other hand, Amos’s parents seemed to be quite accommodating and graceful in their response to the embarrassing incident. “My daughter is a very clever woman. I am not embarrassed at all. Why should I be? I have got no idea what it is and will not ask her. If she wants to tell me then she can,” said her mother, as cited in the Daily Mail.
“I don’t think it will bother Yvette what people are saying,” she added. Amos’s dad on the other hand put forth a logical opinion. “She is a bit too old to be a student I’m not embarrassed at all,” David stated.
The incident however is a reminder for everyone to run a close eye on their surroundings just before getting on a video call.
