A nervous passenger aboard Alaska Airlines flight opened the emergency exit and climbed onto the airplane's wing shortly after it landed in Seattle, leading emergency response teams to respond.

Flight 323, traveling from Milwaukee to Seattle, arrived at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on December 22 around 5 p.m., Fox News detailed.

As passengers began deplaning at Gate N9, a female passenger reportedly became anxious. Her state led her to open the emergency exit door located over the wing, seeking an unconventional exit from the plane.

Witnesses and airport officials observed the passenger climbing onto the wing of the aircraft. Responding swiftly, Port of Seattle Fire and Port Police crisis teams arrived on the scene, assisting the woman safely off the wing and down to the tarmac.

No injuries were reported, and no disruptions occurred to other airport operations.

The passenger was evaluated by the Port Police crisis team, who determined she required further assessment at a hospital.

Alaska Airlines has stated that they are cooperating with airport officials to investigate the incident and ensure passenger safety protocols were upheld.

No criminal charges have been reported so far.
