Jae Crowder has been around, jumping from one team to another. And just when you thought that the 32-year-old has found a home with the Phoenix Suns, it appears he will be on the move again.
There are reports that Crowder may be traded off to a new team, one of which is a former team where he played before in the Miami Heat.
There was one post he made on Instagram hinting that he could be rejoining the South Beach club soon. Regardless, the point is that the 6-foot-6 may be shipped because the Suns have some targets in mind, Brian Windhorst of ESPN suggested.
“They are very active in this last week conducting business,” Windhorst said. “They’re in trade negotiations right now. A lot of them are centered around Jae Crowder. Jae Crowder is a player who is available on the market right now.”
Among the names that the Suns allegedly have on their wish list is Bojan Bogdanovic of the Utah Jazz. As most know, Utah is believed to be placing some of their veteran players on the block.
Aside from Bogdanovic, other names reportedly up for grabs include Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley. So far, nothing has gone past rumors as far as trades involving Beasley, Bogdanovic and Clarkson.
For Miami, reuniting with Crowder may ease some burden off PJ Tucker. But to get a deal done, the Heat may have to give up some of their players. Among the names being floated include Duncan Robinson, Cameron Payne, Torey Craig or even Nikola Jovic.
Should Crowder leave, Phoenix will likely lean on Cam Johnson to get more shooting on the floor.
If not the Heat, the Celtics are another team that could take interest in Crowder. However, an obstacle seen would be the salaries, something Boston may find hard to match.
