Most are aware that LeBron James is at the twilight of his career. He is not getting younger and he is entering the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite his age, James has shown that he can still play at a high level. However, for him to win another title, he needs to be in good company.
Suggestions of an NBA trade involving the four-time NBA champion are nothing new. With the Lakers failing to get things together, some teams could take interest in “The King.”
Such is expected to go on until next season. But when asked, he mentioned the Golden State Warriors as an interesting NBA team to join.
"I would love getting into a pissing match with Draymond [Green]," James joked. "I love when someone cusses me out."
Of course, this is nothing new. Also, most are likely to criticize him for trying to squirm his way into joining a team that has good chances at an NBA title.
But as far as actually considering it, joining the Warriors may not be easy to foresee. For one, money that James may want would be critical.
The second is that the chemistry from within could disrupt the Dubs. With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green doing well, it is hard to see how a superstar of James’ caliber would stand out.
Although tempting, the chances of seeing James in a Warriors uniform may not be realistic. But given the fact that he is at the point where his NBA career may be coming to a close, it all boils down to how much money he may want and if the Dubs are willing to take the risk of destroying team chemistry.
There is also the Bronny James factor. Aware that his career is coming to a close, LeBron wants to play alongside his son if he is drafted. Hence, there are several factors on the table to figure out where James may cap his storied NBA career.
