The clamor to have Kenneth Faried to be back on the hardwood was finally granted. Too bad, just not on an NBA team.
Left unsigned, reports have surfaced that the 6-foot-9 big man is headed to China.
Sportando’s CEO Emiliano Carchia tweeted that the 29-year old forward/center is about to sign a one-year $4.4-million contract to play for the Zhenjiang Guangsha Lions. The team offered Faried $2-million contract weeks ago but the offer was declined.

Stadium’s Jeff Goodman tweeted that the contract was worth $2-million, but regardless of the amount, the “Manimal” looks like he’s bound to the CBA to prove himself and everybody.

The move, though, did not sit well with everybody, especially those who wanted to see him on their team, while some recognized what the NBA was missing from him.
Damn it to hell! come on blazers!

When the Lakers are searching for a center to help JaVale McGee before the offseason, a lot of fans were suggesting Faried given his athleticism and strong showing last season. The team, though, settled for Dwight Howard, which turned out to be a great addition for the purple and gold.
Faried averaged 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds last season in his 31 games with the Houston Rockets. The former Team USA center will take the same path as Jeremy Lin after the NBA Champion with Toronto signed with the Beijing Ducks.
