Natalia Cordova is set to star opposite Kevin Costner in Disney's new film "McFarland" about a group of undocumented child migrants who become champion cross country athletes. The Mexican actress has been living in L.A. for two years and this is her first major Hollywood film. The movie is directed by Niki Caro whose film "Whale Rider" was an international success. "It's an endearing, beautiful story of Mexican migrants; I play the mome of the champion kid," explained the actress.
Natalia Cordova is most exctied about getting to work with director Niki Caro, whose name secured Cordova's place in the movie. She also reveals with excitement that "I have a scene with Kevin at the end of the film." The Mexican actress comes from quite the acting pedigree: her grandfather Pancho Cordova acted in over 150 films including "Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid" and "The Long Goodbye." Cordova has also recently finished filming "Yerba Mala", directed by Javier Solar.
Natalia Cordova began her acting career in Mexico, starring in such shows as "Bienes Raices" and "Los Minondos."
