The popularity of Narcos, the series that narrates the life of the Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar, has reached such popularity levels that Netflix has confirmed the show will be renewed for two more seasons for 2017.
On Season 3, the series will be more focused on the Cali Cartel after Pablo’s death. This time, Cali's kingpins will have more important roles as they reach the top of the drug dealing community in Colombia. The show will have a new plot and a lot of new faces. It is confirmed that the actor Pedro Pascal will be back on this season and that he will return to the pursuing of the cartel.
New characters will enhance the show, especially the new detectives duo conformed by Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan, recently confirmed to join the cast. Stahl-David as a young American DEA agent and Matt will be his partner.
The story after Pablo's death, will also be focused a lot more on Mexico. We will see a little more of The Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel as they fight back the DEA war against the growing of drug trafficking. This side brings us to guess either “El Chapo” or “El Mayo,” Mexican drug dealers leaders will be mentioned.
On the new trailer for Season 3, Pablo’s image fades through Gilberto Orejuela’s face as the caption “The Blow Must Go On” is displayed.
