‘Naked Dating’ Series Coming To VH1: Hot Details About Sexy New Dating Show

As if dating series couldn’t get anymore ridiculous, leave it to VH1 to introduce the world to “Naked Dating.” The said to be music-focused network has picked up the brand new series “Naked Dating” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The series, which will chronicle 10 episodes and supposed love stories comes from the aptly named, Lighthearted Entertainment, the independently owned production company responsible for reality series, like “Extreme Makeover,” “The Moment of Truth,” “Next,” “72 Hours” and another newly minted dating series “Are You the One?”

Each episode of “Naked Dating” will feature a principal male and female character that are supposedly looking for love, and nudity. The pair will individually date two different and appropriately naked possible partners. The Hollywood Reporter claims that series will explore romance and love without, “preconceived notions, stereotypes” and of course clothing -- because nothing says I love you like looking at two naked bodies for two separate dates. VH1 says the series will be edited "according to network standards."

At the conclusion of the hour-long episode, the main male and female characters will decipher their nude dates and conclude what they not only learned about their potential suitors, but what they also learned abut themselves when they went sans clothing for an hour -- must be a groundbreaking revelation. They will then decide whether or no to move forward with their nude matches, with the help of the host of “Naked Dating” who is still unnamed, and we are really hoping Chris Harrison of “The Bachelor” doesn't get any wild ideas.

"At first, this seems like a show that’s all about a noisy, provocative hook -- and we embrace that,” said Susan Levison, executive VP original programming and production at VH1. “But when you go deeper, it’s really about something that we can all relate to -- the search for true love. It’s also a series with heart and masterful storytelling -- both earmarks of an engaging, must-watch show.” A premiere date for “Naked Dating” has yet to be announced.
