Mother Of One Hangs Herself After Secret Husband Refused To Let Her Move In With Him

A 32-year-old mother of one allegedly hanged herself to death after her new husband, whom she got married to secretly, refused her request to move in with him.

The unidentified victim was found hanging dead from a ceiling fan inside her parents' home in Dera Bassi's Mubarakpur neighborhood on Monday, July 18.

Investigators said they recovered a suicide note from the scene. The note, purportedly written by the victim, blamed her male friend for her death.

The victim and the man, who has not been publicly identified, were in a relationship for the last six years, since the time she divorced her first husband for unknown reasons.

According to SI Kulwant Singh, the victim and the accused had reportedly married but were living separately to keep the relationship a secret.

The victim, who had been living at her parent’s house with her 8-year-old daughter, was repeatedly requesting her secret husband to let her move into the same property with him, reports said.

After her repeated efforts to convince him failed, the victim decided to take the extreme step, according to police.

The accused, a resident of Sundra village, was arrested and charged for abetment following a complaint by the victim's brother. He is now being held on police remand.

Another shocking suicide was reported in India's Bengaluru, where a 33-year-old man allegedly killed himself after his ex-girlfriend called him saying her husband had found out about their illicit relationship and had decided to end his life after naming the victim in his suicide note.

The victim, identified as Arun, a transport in-charge in a private company, was found dead Saturday, July 16, inside a lodge room near Nelamangala Town in Bengaluru city.

According to local media reports, Arun was in love with a woman, Pooja (name changed) and the duo had decided to get married after the wedding of Arun’s sister.

However, Pooja got married to another man, Shravan (name changed), who was chosen by her parents.

Even after the wedding, Pooja and Arun continued their relationship, reports said.

It didn’t take that long for Shravan to realize that his wife was cheating on him with her ex-boyfriend.

Shravan reportedly forced Pooja to call Arun on the phone and tell him that her husband has found out about their relationship and had decided to end his life, according to reports.

Fearing repercussions, Arun reserved a room in a lodge and ended his life on Saturday.
