A 37-year-old mother said that she cried after she allegedly clashed with Cristiano Ronaldo in a phone call after the Portuguese footballer smashed her teen son's phone on the ground.

Sarah Kelly spoke out after the Manchester United player accepted a caution for an incident that happened at Goodison Park last season, reported The Sun. It looked like Ronaldo had slapped Jacob Harding’s hand as he left the pitch after his team was beaten by Everton. The 14-year-old has autism, and later Ronaldo apologized to him.

The Portuguese star was interviewed earlier this month by police. It was under caution in relation to an alleged assault and criminal damage. Later Merseyside Police confirmed that the matter had been dealt with by way of conditional caution, and that the matter "has now concluded.”

But Kelly said that she feels cheated. She claimed that Ronaldo has not even offered to replace the phone that was smashed by him, Mirror reported. He allegedly contacted her by telephone in the days after the incident, but she claimed that she was left "shaking and crying" because of his attitude. During the chat, Ronaldo allegedly told her that he hadn’t "kicked or punched anybody."

Ronaldo reportedly discussed his "terrible upbringing" with the mother of the autistic boy. She shared that Ronaldo asked her if she would like to come down and meet his family, and said that he was "not a bad dad." He apparently told her that he had a "terrible upbringing, I lost my dad." Ronaldo kept calling her Jack and didn’t even know her name, said Kelly.

Her conversation with the Man Utd striker came after an initial phone call from a man called Sergio, who claimed to be Ronaldo’s personal assistant. He reportedly offered a meeting with the player, which Kelly refused. She was asked if she knew who Ronaldo was, and she replied saying that of course she did and "the answer is no." She hung up and "was shaking and crying. I felt intimidated. How dare they?”

Kelly and her son, an Everton fan, have also been targeted by trolls. She said that it was disgusting, and shared that her boy "has a heart of gold." She feels scared to leave the house, and she is "always looking over my shoulder." She said that she now plans to take legal action as she wants to "see justice because there hasn’t been any."

Harding shared that he looked up to the star, but "he didn’t set an example that day.”

It is understood that the footballer has agreed to compensate the teen and his mother, and in April, Man Utd bosses confirmed that they won't be taking action.
