The mother of a young employee stabbed to death at the McDonald's he worked at in Mississippi is claiming that the attack on her son was unprovoked.

"He was having his lunch. He wasn't messing with anyone. He was just having his lunch. He doesn't know her. There is no reason," Rosa LeBron, the mother of 22-year-old Christopher Borras told WJTV.

Borras was allegedly stabbed by Destiny Gibson, 22, according to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade. Gibson allegedly attacked Borras during an altercation with a large knife, and was then arrested at the scene, as reported WJTV.

"Whatever the verbal exchange was, it did not justify you producing this very large knife to take this young man's life," Wade told WAPT. "We have retrieved that video; it is captured on video of her taking this young man's life. He tried his best to make it through, but it was too much. It was a very large knife."

Lebron said Borras moved from Miami, Florida, to Jackson, Mississippi, with his brother in the hopes of starting a construction business.

"He was a character. He loved to make people laugh. He made a lot of friends. He was a good boy. It's horrible. She turned off his light. He had a bright future ahead of him," LeBron told WJTV.

LeBron continued, "It's the most horrible feeling. I still feel like he's going to walk up the driveway at any second. I don't have words. It's very difficult, especially financially. We still haven't figured out how we're going to get him back home. He's waiting to rest."

"Thank you for standing by us as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. We greatly appreciate any and all prayers sent our way. Together, we can help Christopher's family during this unimaginable time," reads the description of a GoFundMe page set up for Borras' family.

Gibson has been charged with murder, and is being held on a $2 million bond.
