Mom Kids Fire BB Gun: Why Did Susan Becker Have Her Kids Shoot At Cars?

A Long Island mom is under arrest after she allegedly drove her kids around and let them fire their new BB gun at will. Susan Becker of East Northport, N.Y., was arrested by Suffolk County Police after the department investigated over 60 vandalism reports in only two weeks.

The mom and her two teenage kids as well as a teenage friend shot at parked cars as they drove around Hauppauge and surrounding towns soon after buying the weapon for their enjoyment.

A man whose car was narrowly missed by a BB that instead found a window pane on his garage was outraged at Becker for her alleged actions: "Crazy mom! What mom would instruct their children to do that?" the man said.

Becker has been charged with 10 counts of criminal mischief and 11 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. In response to her arrest, an unidentified neighbor expressed surprise, calling her an "all-American typical mom." There are no reports of an explanation for Becker's actions involving the alleged BB gun shooting spree.
