The MLS All-Star game featured many of the best soccer stars that the world has to offer on Wednesday night. In addition to the star power on the pitch, the match gave us two of the more impressive goals we have seen all year. Take a look at the two most sensational goals from last night’s match.

Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski was the prize off-season acquisition for Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old star was a goal scoring machine for his former team Borussia Dortmund, and if last night’s display was any indicator, he will be doing more of the same this season for Bayern. His opening goal in the first ten minutes of the MLS All-Star Game Wednesday night was one of the most insane goals Latin Times has ever seen. The ball literally defied physics as it not only stayed below its flight trajectory to find the back of the net, but curved to the right as well. The shot was goalkeeper cruelty as Real Salt Lake’s Nick Rimando didn’t stand a chance.

It’s a shame we were unable to see Lewandowski at last month’s World Cup in Brazil as I’m sure we would have seen more stunning goals like this. Unfortunately for Lewandowski, Poland is not one of the better teams in Europe and did not qualify. Regardless, he needs to be in the discussion with Messi and Ronaldo for top players in the World.

The second astounding goal of the night came in the second half by MLS Golden Boot leader, Bradley Wright-Phillips of the New York Red Bulls. Wright-Phillips currently leads all players in MLS with 18 goals in just 27 games. Wright-Phillips did not play in the first half, but immediately made his presence known when he fired a laser into the back of the net at the start of the second half.

His equalizer was a world-class goal and again, one of the best goals you’ll see this year. Erick Torres headed Wright-Phillips a pass that he was able to gather, run and shoot without even stopping to settle the ball. The strike was magnificent off of his left foot and easily found the top right corner of the net. With shots and skills like these, it is easy to see why Wright-Phillips is one of the best MLS has to offer.
