The American and National Leagues will battle it out Tuesday night for the chance to give their side home field advantage during the 2013 World Series in the MLB All-Star game. The two sides are evenly split in differing facets of their team, which is sure to make this bout an interesting one -- in spite of some notable names being snubbed from this year's event.

Where and When to Watch the MLB All-Star Game
The game is set to start at 8 p.m. EST on FOX. Viewers can also watch a live stream here. The game will be hosted at Citi Field for the first time since it opened in 2009.

The Game
While the AL probably has the better lineup in basic terms, the NL's pitching prowess could be what sets this game in their favor. The NL has an impressive lineup of pitchers with the five best ERA's in the league at the moment, with Matt Harvey coming in at No. 4 primed to pitch in front of a hometown audience, SB Nation reports. Still, the AL has some heavy hitters ready to tackle the stellar pitching squad on the opposing squad. Miguel Cabrera enter the match with the Triple Crown and MVP title from last season in the AL. He's also in the top 20 best offensive seasons in line with the likes of Jackie Robinson. The AL also has Chris Davis, who exerts complete ownership in baseball right now, coming in with 37 home runs.

The defense will be pretty evenly split, though the AL may prove that their strong offense is enough to squeak by in tonight's game. The starting lineups for the game are as follows:

2B Robinson Cano, Yankees RF Carlos Beltran, Cardinals
