A Missouri gubernatorial candidate is making the rounds after releasing an ad where he tells unlawful migrants that, if elected, he will deport them. The twist in this case is that he is joined by a person who translates his message to Spanish as he goes.

"I'm Bill Eigel. I'm running for governor to crack down on illegal immigration. No more taxpayer handouts for illegals. Period. Nada, cero. We're throwing them in jail and sending them back where they came from," Eigel claims in his message.

The ad takes a controversial tone towards the end, as the translator, a Latino-looking man, grabs his head and says "Ay, caramba!" as he listens to the last part of the message. That is followed by a voice saying cartoon character Speedy González's catchphrase "andale, andale, arriba, arriba" and joined by sounds of wheels screeching. "It's time to take Missouri back," Eigel concludes.

Eigel, a state senator, has promised to use an old law to declare an "invasion" in the state and direct law enforcement to arrest and deport unlawful migrants. "If I have to drive the buses myself to the border, I will." "We'll get our country back," he said at a campaign rally in February, the Missouri Independent reported.

The lawmaker was also among the Republicans who opposed an amendment to a state law allowing abortion to be legal in cases of rape or incest. He said that Democrats wanted to pass the amendment "so that kids can get abortions in the state of Missouri."

The Republican primaries are scheduled for August 6, while the general elections will take place on the same day as the presidential ones, on November 5.
