A body has been pulled from the Providence River and police are now stating that it is "very possible" it is Sunil Tripathi. Tripathi, is a former undergraduate student from Brown University who went missing in mid-March.

The body was discovered by members of Brown University rowing team on Tuesday evening, and it now being examined by the state medical examiner. Police Lieutenant Joseph Donnelly told the Boston Globe it was "very possible" that the body is Sunil Tripahti, however we will not know until following a complete autopsy.

Sunil Tripathi was falsely accused and identified as one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings. After police released images of the two bombing suspects, Sunil was falsely identified as the second suspect wearing a backwards white hat. Dzhokhar Tsraneav, is the real suspect was later identified and captured.

Social media website, Reddit, issued a public apology following the coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings and wrongly naming Sunil Tripathi as a suspect.
