A lot of controversy has unfolded after the new Miss Universe, Miss Colombia Paulina Vega was crowned. As everyone watched the beauty pageant, which took place on January 25, 2015 in Doral, Florida, many became mesmerized with Miss Jamaica, Kaci Fennell’s beauty, quickly becoming one of the favorites. Maybe it was her posture, her demeanor, her perfectly bronzed skin or her short, but sassy hair, making her stand out from the other girls, that caught everyone’s attention, but one thing is for sure, she was very graceful and, out of all the answers from the Q&A portion of the show, she was the one who gave the most consistent ones (we gotta admit though, all the girls answered terribly, but Fennell was the least bad).
So no wonder when the runner-ups started being announced, the whole world was shocked to see the Jamaican beauty be named fourth runner-up (you could totally hear all the booing from the disappointed audience). She didn’t even believe it and you could tell by her face. She thought she had owned the competition (as most people watching the show also did), but she didn’t even make it to the top two. Turns out, that the general dislike for the results was also palpable in the FIU Arena, where the event was hosted, as the other girls participating in the pageant went to show their support to Fennell, instead of Paulina Vega, when former Miss Universe Gabriela Isler crowned her.
Not only did the girls run over to Kaci, but they lifter her up in their arms as if they were saying that she was the true winner of the pageant. But why didn’t the girls like Paulina Vega? Turns out this 22-year-old model from Barranquilla, Colombia didn’t have the best of attitudes throughout the whole month, which all the girls shared while preparing for Miss Universe. Rumors say Vega was rude and believed herself to be superior to the others. What do you guys think?
