Univision is bringing back "Mira Quien Baila" for a new season of stars that will have them paired with professional dancers to test their limits on the dance floor. Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza have been confirmed to host the show will Jomari Goyso will join them to cover the behind-the-scenes action and the latest buzz from social media. Another addition to the new season of MQB is star choreographer Rodrigo Basurto, who has worked on such hits as “America’s Got Talent,” “American Idol” and “La Banda.” Basurto’s choreography will mix classic ballroom dancing techniques with a Latin and urban flow to make this new season more danceable, passionate and contemporary than ever.
Winners of the previous editions of MQB include actor Vadhir Derbez (2010), TV host Adamari López (2011), singer Henry Santos (2012), and TV personality Johnny Lozada (2013). There will be 10 celebrity contestants that will compete for a $50,000 grand prize for a charity of their choice. Pablo Montero: The controversial star that was recently fired from the Televisa production of "El Vuelo de la Victoria" will showcase his talents, and maybe this will help him show producers and audiences that he's a professional and willing to put in the work.
Dayanara Torres: The former Miss Universe 1993 titleholder and Marc Anthony's ex-wife is set to take the dancefloor by storm. Her beauty and elegance are sure to cause fire on stage and will be one of the surprises of the season.
Victoria "La Mala": The successful urban artist is still relatively new to the scene and participating on "Mira Quien Baila" will surely boost her profile and allow her to showcase her talent so new people join her fan base.
Ektor Rivera: The "On Your Feet" Broadway star already has an edge over his competitors as he is used to the rhythm of performing on a live stage.
Ana Patricia: The "Despierta América" personality will have the opportunity to bring her laughter and great attitude to the show.
Franco Noriega: The Peruvian cook dubbed "the sexiest chef in the world" has the chops on the kitchen, but can he cut it on the dance floor? We'll have to wait and see.
Marlene Favela: The telenovela actress was last seen on "Pasión y Poder" and will now show off her talents in dance.
Alejandro Nones: The telenovela actor was last seen on "La Piloto".
ChikyBomBom: Her unique personality is sure to not be missed on the dance show.
Danell Leyva: The Cuban-American gymanst will be featured on the show and teach us that with discipline and determination anything is possible.
"Mira Quien Baila" is set to premiere on Sunday, September 17 starting at 8pm/7c on Univision. Lourdes Díaz, Univision’s president of Entertainment said of the show's return: "We are beyond excited for ‘Mira Quién Baila’s’ comeback which, without a doubt, will bring families together, not just on the edge of their seats, but on their feet dancing along every Sunday night."
