Minor Boy Repeatedly Stabbed Aunt With Scissors After She Asked Him To Run Away With Her

A 17-year-old boy fatally stabbed his 28-year-old aunt with whom he was allegedly having an affair.

The mother-of-two was found dead in her house at Banashankari III Stage, Bengaluru, India on Tuesday, Oct.19, evening, police said.

Neighbors alerted the police after seeing thick plumes of smoke coming out of the house.

The responding officers broke open the door to find the young mother lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.

The police also noticed a half-burnt bedsheet which indicated that the suspect had set the cloth on fire in an attempt to burn down the house.

The body was recovered and sent to a medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. The results revealed the victim was stabbed 15 times with a pair of scissors.

The police initiated an investigation and began questioning the family and neighbors to gain a possible lead into the death.

According to the police, the woman’s husband and her two sons were not home when the incident took place.

The victim’s husband was questioned during which he told the investigators that he and his wife had a fight that morning after he found out about the affair she was having with his minor nephew, police said.

“He sent his sons to his grandparents’ place as he did not want to fight in front of them. A probe revealed the husband was present at his workplace when the murder took place. Then we found that the minor boy had come to meet the woman in the afternoon,” the Times of India quoted a police officer as saying.

The accused teenager was picked up for questioning. He reportedly confessed to killing his aunt.

He told the police that his aunt wanted to elope with him because her husband had found out about their illicit relationship.

When he refused to run away, the woman grabbed a pair of scissors and attacked him, the suspect told police.

He snatched the scissors from her hand and stabbed her, repeatedly.

“Saying her husband had discovered their affair, she forced me to run away with her. I declined and she grew angry. She attacked me with scissors, and snatching it from her hand, I stabbed her,” a police source quoted him as saying.

“I set the bedsheet on fire and locked the house before fleeing,” he reportedly told police.

The minor was charged with murder and produced before the court. He is currently serving his time at a juvenile home.
