Minor Boy Dismembers 15-Year-Old Cousin For Having Affair With Mother, Dumps Remains In Well

A minor boy killed his teen cousin with an ax for having an illicit affair with his mother.

The dismembered and decomposing body of the 15-year-old unidentified victim was found in a well near Punjapur, a village in the Indian state of Gujarat on Sunday, Nov.21, three days after the alleged incident.

The victim’s family had filed a missing person report on Nov.19, after the teen did not return home the previous night.

A search was initiated and the police were investigating, when on Sunday villagers alerted them about the body inside the well.

Responding officers recovered the body and identified him as the missing teen. His family was informed about the tragedy after which the body was sent to a medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

Police registered a case of murder and questioned several villagers, including the victim’s family.

A detailed probing revealed that the victim’s minor cousin was behind the barbaric crime, police sources said.

According to the police, the victim and the suspect were classmates, however, their brotherhood derailed when the boy found the now-deceased teen in a compromising position with his mother.

The minor suspect was deeply disturbed by the discovery and had threatened to kill the boy if he found him anywhere near his mother again, local sources reported.

On Nov.18, the teen victim had gone to visit the woman at her home. Later that evening, the teen was walking back home, when the minor suspect attacked him with an ax near an isolated agricultural field.

The suspect dealt several blows on the victim before dragging and dumping his remains in an abandoned well nearby.

The minor suspect was taken into police custody on Monday. The boy has confessed to the murder, an investigation officer told the Times of India. The murder weapon was also recovered from the boy's home, police said.

The charges imposed on him are unclear at this time.
