Millions of the internet-famous Stanley tumblers were urgently recalled after dozens of spill-related burn injuries were reported around the world.

Stanley received 91 reports of people suffering burns because the mugs' lids came undone, leading to 38 burn injuries worldwide, including two in the U.S. Eleven of those injured worldwide needed medical attention, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall includes Stanley's 12- and 16-ounce Switchback mugs and 12-, 16- and 20-ounce Trigger Action tumblers. They were sold between June 2016 and December 2024, NBC News reported.

Most of the products, which sell for between $20 and $50, were bought through Amazon, Walmart, Target and Dick's Sporting Goods, per the agency.

"At Stanley 1913, we are committed to constant improvement and are focused on creating quality products that are built for life," the Seattle-based company said in a statement obtained by NBC News.

Anyone who owns the product is asked to reach out to the company for a replacement top.
