Miley Cyrus has been making headlines for her ever-evolving style and crazy fashion statements. But the 20-year-old singer has just dropped the music video for her latest single “We Can’t Stop,” and it’s insane! Really that nuts! From dancing, teddy bears, to hot dogs and Miley thrusting on a mattress, we don’t even know where to begin.
And while it’s absolutely her craziest and sexiest music video yet, we are still seeing a lot of Miley in there. While Miley is grabbing butts and breasts, making out with a Barbie in a pool, she is still dancing with her friends and sticking her tongue out. Even when Miley was 16, she was controversial, she sang about how she “Can’t Be Tamed” and now she is singing about how she can’t stop. While Miley is now severely disconnected from her former Hannah Montana self, it seems like less of a disconnection and more of an evolution. And while we are hoping that her fans have aged just as she has, Miley is no longer a teenager, so her new musical influences seem pretty normal for a 20-year-old celebrity worth $120 million.
Miley told Billboard, "Right now, when people go to iTunes and listen to my old music, it's so irritating to me because I can't just erase that stuff and start over, my last record I feel so disconnected from -- I was 16 or 17 when I made it. When you're in your 20s, you just don't really know that person anymore."
The video is downright ridiculous, it’s a crazy party with all of your friends, when you wake up and wonder where the hell am I and how did I get here? And apparently that’s exactly what Miley was going for! Miley dishes that her music video is actually a true story! (Um what?!) Well, apparently it’s based off a crazy, awesome, fun night that Miley had with group of her friends. She also states that what she wants the message in “We Can’t Stop” to be “living for right now, and being with people that matter.”
Check out Miley discussing her still-untitled album and her evolution as an artist and a person in general.
