Miley Cyrus is no stranger to controversy, that’s why her most recent collaboration isn’t the least bit shocking to us. Miley has teamed up with the Queen of Pop herself, and like Miley, Madonna has had her fair share of attention grabbing headlines. The combination of Miley, Madonna, and “MTV Unplugged” is sure to make for an exciting and memorable show. The allegedly “surprise” performance is set to premiere Wednesday night on MTV was revealed by Madge through her personal Instagram page. As the dynamic duo took to the stage in Hollywood on Monday, the 55-year-old took a page from Miley’s book and copied the starlet’s infamous tongue wagging pose. Posting a picture of the two, Madonna wrote, “Don't ever Tell us We Can't STOP! #revolutionoflove.” The carefully crafted caption combines the song titles of Madonna’s worldwide hit “Don’t Tell Me” with Miley’s popular single “We Can’t Stop.”

As for the performance for Miley Cyrus “MTV Unplugged” reports claim the pair engaged in a raunchy performance, which had both Miley and Madonna “grind and dirty dance” on one another while they spilt the lyrical duties of the performance which consisted of the two songs mentioned above. “That was pretty f**king cool, you guys,” Cyrus told the audience between takes. “It’s pretty cool performing with Madonna.” She added, “It’s a great day. There’s nothing I can complain about.” In addition to Miley’s standard live performance antics, the artistry of her music does ring true in the live performance according to TIME.

Miley, who proudly hails from Nashville, transformed Hollywood’s Sunset Gower Studios into a serious hoedown, complete with bails of hay, horses and of course little people. Fans of Miley’s new album “Bangerz” will be pleased with the concert. “MTV Unplugged” marks the first time Cyrus has played many cuts from her album live. The hoedown theme does continue into more layers of the performances, many songs from “Bangerz” will make their first live debut in an acoustic/ country format. The country infusion will be spectacular to listen to, if you enjoyed Miley’s “The Backyard Sessions” then tune in tonight, because she even whips out a banjo.

Miley Cyrus “MTV Unplugged” will premiere Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 on MTV at 9 p.m.
