The 2012-2013 regular season of the NBA kicks off tonight when the Miami Heat take on the Boston Celtics at the American Airlines Arena.

At 6:00 p.m. EDT, NBA TV will preview the 2012-2013 season but the game will begin at 8:00 p.m. EDT.
According to the general managers, Miami will win the Eastern Conference and the 2013 NBA Finals.
Recently, NBA managers said that Lebron James will repeat as MVP winner in the 2012-13 season and said that if they were starting a franchise today, they would definitely sign James. James was also voted as the best small forward in the NBA.
The GMs said Boston is on track to win the Atlantic Division.
Many predict the meeting between Boston and Miami to be awkward as Ray Allen will come face-to-face with his former teammates for the first time since he ditched Boston for Miami.
"The Celtics are going to miss Ray Allen's quiet offensive consistency, particularly those clutch 3-pointers that were taken for granted," ESPN's Chris Forsberg said. "But Allen's defense had become a liability and, offensively, he struggled to create shots for himself."
