The mother of 25-year-old Gabriela Ruiz Martinez believes her daughter is the 12th victim in the Mexico mass kidnap. Reforma.com says that Martinez's mother Mercedes has not heard from her daughter since trying to contact her on Sunday.

As previously reported by the Latin Times 11 young people were kidnapped in the nightlife tourist district Zona Rosa in Mexico City. The Mexico mass kidnap happened in broad daylight. Masked gunmen set upon the group of young people. Witnesses said they thought the masked men were going to rob the group until they saw them forced into van.

Reports about the Mexico mass kidnap say 11 people, 6-men, 1-teenage boy and 4-women were taken between 10 am and noon on Sunday.

The Telegraph says the incident was the second high publicity crime in the largely un-protected tourist district. 20-days ago the grandson of civil rights leader Malcom X was beaten to death at a bar in the same area.

Mercedes Martinez learned her daughter Gabriela Ruiz Martinez had attended the same bar where the 11 other victims were kidnapped. Mercedes saw a photo of her daughter at the bar with one of the missing men, Reforma.com says.

Family members of those taken in the Mexico mass kidnap were pleading with the authorities to find their loved ones. Reforma says police and investigators are tracing cells phones and studying security cameras in order to figure out what happened to Gabriel Ruiz Martinez and the 11 kidnapping victims.

There are no reports of a motive for the Mexico mass kidnap but Yahoo News says the patter fits a string of recent kidnapping believed to have a connection to organized crime.
