Mentally Unstable Man Makes Odd Police Request Against Paranormal

From anywhere in the globe, there will be odd requests made. That includes encounters where some individuals from Gujarat would claim that ghosts are after them. One such incident reportedly happened over in Vadodara.

A 35-year-old man reportedly filed an odd complaint with the Jambughoda police station in Panchmahal district on Tuesday, alleging that he was being harassed by a gang of ghosts. He sought aid from authorities believing his life was in danger. The man claims that he was approached by the paranormal figures while he was working on his farm.

The man was identified as Varsangbhai Bariyaalso. Police were surprised with the unusual request but had suspected something mentally off. To save him from further distress, police logged the complaint to assuage fears.

“He was very agitated. It was clear that he was behaving abnormally. We took down his application and showed it to help him calm down,” PSI Mayanksinh Thakor said in a report.

Moments later, authorities contacted the family of Bariyaalso. They found out that the family had no idea that the 35-year-old went to the police and revealed that the man was undergoing psychiatric treatment. Also, Varsangbhai had allegedly not taken his medicine for the past 10 days.

"However, he had not taken his medicine for the past 10 days," Thakor stated. "He said that he ran to the police station as he believed that the ghosts would not be able to trouble him there."

The man was sent to a medical professional and police asked the family to make sure that Varsangbhai takes his medicines regularly to avoid future psychotic episodes.

“We felt like he was unwell, but we investigated thoroughly and talked to his family members. And then at the behest of the family members, we referred him to a psychiatrist,” the police said in a statement.
